WHY TO COMPROMISE WITH THE LIFE STANDARDS WHILE GROWING ?

I am really amazed to find how crucial role is played by one's sarasar vivek ie power of discretion in almost all spheres of life.
This sarasar vivek makes one aware of true meaning of life values.
Not only that it also enables one to discrete between the polarities in values in life such as truth and untruth, ethical and unethical, moral and amoral, justice and injustice and so on and thus one is able to make right decisions in one's life.
This also makes one aware of the fact that one can not avoid ageing process and the related changes in one's life standard and expectations as one grows old.
And one develops that capability to accept the changes positively in one's life standard and expectations related to ageing.
One who applies wisdom in his approach towards life adopts oneself to the process of ageing by raising own life standard in that one wisely reduces his personal requirements,his dependence on other's, taking care of one's health, stopping interfering in others business, understanding the purpose of one's life, awareness and development of spiritual progress,due respect to suprrme life values, ie love, freedom, compassion,justice -every efforts to paving the way for one's transformation in life. Thus overall upliftment of life standard.
Exactly opposite is in case of expectations. A wise person knows very well that minimum or nil expectations helps one to be aloof and witness the life from a distance and thus there is no hurdle of any scope for emotional involvement or attachment.
So, no compromise in raising qualitative life standards and reducing expectations from external world.

IS TECHNOLOGY RUINING PERSONAL LIVES?

It will be wrong to blame technology for ruining personal lives.
Who decides the way of application of technology? And that too, to what extent?
The understanding of basic ideas will be helpful in this regard.
The one,the soul directs the mind to perceive the external world through the five sense organs, by sense of vision,hearing,taste,smell and touch.
In fact,  mind should be controlled by one's soul for application of five sense organs in the process of perceiving the world around.
But what happens is exactly the opposite, in that, the mind dominates in deciding what is to be perceived leading to the problem of undue,undesired and harmful importance being given to the things and means to be used for proper perceiving of the world.
One knows well that smoking is injurious to health. Alcohol is dangerous not only for health but also it can ruin one's own and family life. And for that matter every kind of addiction is harmful. But still we find people indulging in so many kids of addictions.What can be the reason?
The reason is lack of awareness.
There must basic awareness in every one to understand the meaning and significance of power of thinking wisely,the ability to discrete and choose the right one in polarities in values like rational and irrational,healthy and unhealthy, proper and improper, natural and unnatural,wise and foolishness,kind and unkind,and so on.
One must also be able to identify the core of issues,the problem and it's probable solutions,what is of real importance,etc.
How to utilize technology, that too at optimum level,how much importance it deserves,what should be gained from it,how much priority it deserves…. all these decisions have to be taken by us. And so we are fully responsible for these decisions in our life.
Having effective application of one's sarasar vivek buddhi  i.e. power of discretion, one will make proper and optimum use of technology and thus will never blame technology because one is confident that technology is for one and not vise- a -versa.

WHAT ARE THE HABITS TO CHANGE ONE'S LIFE POSITIVELY ?

Habits to avoid negativity and absorbing positivity.
To avoid negativity-
avoid people of negative attitude.
avoid exposure to negative contents in print and electronic media.
avoid crticizing others.
avoid everything that is good for nothing.
avoid dependence on other's.
avoid interfering in others’business.
avoid speaking unless asked to.
avoid  thinking and talking of the past.
avoid worrying about future.

Absorbing positivity-
engage with people having positive approach towards life.
engage in positive contents only in print and electronic media.
do not pay attention to criticism by others.
pay attention to one's own virtues and those of others.
one should  do all works independently.
do not poke nose in others day today activities.
speak minimum and that too only when required.
do not think about the past and future.
live in the present.

The above habits have helped me considerably to bring in positive changes in my life and enabled me to live life peacefully.

To start with, identify all the negative thoughts for discarding from the mind.
Before going to bed and immediately getting up in the morning while rinsing the mouth with water after brushing the teeth imagine that all the negative thoughts have been collected together and when spitting out the rinsed water from mouth think “I am spitting out all the negative thoughts in my mind at once!”
While clearing the dustbin one should think similarly “ Here I am clearing and throwing out all my negative thoughts out of my mind”.
One's imagination will find many more effective ways like the ones suggested above.
Another way is to react reflexively on coming across negative thought in the same manner when a house lizard falls on you,shrugging and throwing it  away at once, spontaneously.
One may find similar easy but significant methods in day today life which will prove useful for getting over the problem of negative thoughts.

But one should remember that space so created by discarding and throwing away the negative thoughts must me filled by positive nourishing thoughts by keeping the mind occupied and busy in positive activities.

She looks after him and the children.
In fact she hardly finds time to look after herself.
Imagine oneself in her place and see how difficult it would have been.
Inspit of all these hardships she is expected to be happy and cheerful all the time.
And consider her virtues. She loves the younger ones in the family and gives due respect to the elderly members in the family.
She devotedly cooks food for family with love and care.
And she is fully committed to her husband (even if he is not).
If one views all these aspect of an ideal Indian wife,then one will certainly feel proud as well as to be fortunate one!

Yes, I am grateful to my spouse for everything she has given without bothering what she has received from me.
